Yesterday was super exciting as my hype clothing arrived after my competition win with we love pop magazine. My daughter Mia was especially impressed as her favourite vloggers wear this clothing brand so it got me some major brownie points. I haven't had anymore recent wins since I last posted but i'm keeping my fingers crossed for more wins very soon.
I have been spending more and more time online recently and wondered if there was a way to earn a few pennies here and there while I was at it that didn't involve some of the scams that are about. Somebody recommended that I take a look at Panelbase and I was pleasantly surprised. Panelbase is a survey website where you sign up and fill out your profile so that they can send surveys out to your email address that would appeal to you. In exchange for your participation they pay you cash sums. Although it's not enough to make you run out and quit your job it all adds up and I plan to do it throughout the year so that when Christmas comes around I have a little help in hand. So far I have completed 19 surveys and have banked £12.80. If you are interested in me referring you to Panelbase so you can get involved send me at message over on twitter @hollyh11 or an email to [email protected] using panelbase referral in the subject bar. Please remember to include your first name, last name and email address in your message. Thank you for your continuing support. Hope your having as much fun entering competitions as I am!

After a long blogging break I am back :)
Hope you are all having a great 2017. New year new start! So there will be a few minor changes to my blog. I will still mainly be posting about competitions but i'm also going to post about what I am getting up to and other things that are important to me. I am also closing down my comping_mummy twitter page and invite you all to join me on my personal twitter page https://twitter.com/hollyh11 as the two together are a lot of work and I couldn't give both the attention that they needed. To be honest my personal one is mainly full of competition links anyway. So now that the changes are out of the way on to a few wins that I have had since we last spoke. I have won an £100 hype clothing voucher and picked out a jumper, a hoody, a t-shirt and a pair of joggers for my son and daughter. I can't wait for them to arrive! I will follow up with some pictures when they get here. I also won some more chew toys for the dogs (they benefit or my competition obsession more than anyone else). Moving on to my non online wins. I decided to treat myself to a £2 scratch card and won £200!!! Certainly made the school run more interesting. The next day I won a personalised KitKat with my kids picture on it from the peanut butter KitKat I bought with my lunch (ssh don't tell anyone i'm supposed to be on a diet). So definitely look out for competitions on food packets and other things in the shop it could be worth your while. It's not all about the online competitions. I have also posted my lasted review for AO on my review page if you fancy taking a look :) Happy comping everyone. After moving house and having no internet for a month i'm back blogging and entering competitions. Despite not being able to enter advents properly I have still been lucky. So far I have won a £5 tombola bonus, a bissell carpet cleaner, a relaxation colouring book, a elle sports water bottle and some festive onsies. Not bad at all! I don't know how everyone else is getting on with entering the advent competitions, but there are so many this year I am struggling to keep up not that i'm complaining :)
Unfortunately I have had to give my advent page up as a bad job but you can find a long list of them on competition database. Something else that arrived through the post was a goodie bag for my dogs minnie and marley. It had no note with it so I haven't got a clue who sent it and I wasn't expecting it. These are the best wins I think who doesn't love a surprise. Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy new Year. Finally my luck has returned! I was starting to think my lucky dust had ran out, but I had a lovely email from the mummyvswork blog telling me I had won the family marquee sign. I was over the moon as I have just moved house and was on the look out for some nice bits to decorate with. It arrived yesterday and looks lovely by my kitchen table. This was closely followed by a Facebook win of a £10 Amazon voucher from ye old hot dogs. This was perfect for some Christmas pressies! My daughter Mia is obsessed with the vlogger Zoella so I used my voucher to buy some Zoella books to put away for Christmas. Just goes to show if you are patient the wins do arrive.
Just wanted to add that I have been having a nightmare with getting my broadband sorted. It was supposed to be done already but now won't been done until 1st December (fingers crossed). So please bare with me. Whatever happens I am looking forward to the Advent competitions and can't wait to open my Advent competition page where you will be able to find all the links to the advent competitions. It's the busiest comping time of the year so be prepared to start winning :) I would like to say a massive well done to my first competition winner Debbie Burfoot. I will be sending out her prize of 8 handmade wine glass charms first thing tomorrow morning. It has been a great experience running my own competition and I will definitely be running more in the future. The competition received an amazing 1560 entries! Thank you for the huge amount of support from you all. I would also just like to add that I moved house on Thursday so please bare with me as i'm relying on my mobile internet until Tuesday when my broadband is installed. Happy comping guys :)
I thought I would let you know about a few good websites while i'm waiting for my luck to return.
www.goodreads.com/giveaway If you enjoy reading books this is an amazing website for you. You can sign up keep track of what you have read, share books with your friends and find out what other books there are out there. The best page on the website is the giveaway page of course! There are currently 870 giveaways up on their website and there are more being posted everyday! These competitions are definitely legitimate as I have won with them three times so far. www.winneroo.com You can sign into this webpage using your Twitter or Facebook account. When you start using Winneroo you are on level one which means you can enter level one competitions. You can play games on their website to earn points and level up. Which then allows you to enter level 2 competitions, then level 3 etc It is worth giving it a go. I have won a prize with Winneroo before so definitely the real deal. Hope you enjoy taking a look at these websites and if you know of any others that anyone might find interesting comment below. Hi everyone,
It was my 28th birthday yesterday and I had a nice quiet day celebrating with Chris and the kids this year. I also posted my first giveaway to celebrate with you all and it is so nice to see how much support I am getting for my blog. So if you have entered thank you it's much appreciated and if not pop over to my birthday giveaway page and take a look. I can't wait to announce the winner on the 18th November. This month so far all I have won is a bottle of tomato sauce LOL! But a win is a win and i'm not ashamed to say I still got the comping buzz when it came through the front door. Many of you that have been entering competitions for a while know that there are points when you don't seem to be able to win a thing and it can be disheartening especially when you dedicate a lot of time to doing it, but don't give up! Some months I'll have seven or more wins and some months I've not won a bean. If you put in the time and the effort you will win sooner or later. So for now i'm going back to comping and keeping my fingers crossed for the next big win. Be lucky everyone :) Wow! My first post a bit nervewracking if i'm honest but here goes nothing.....
What better way to start a blog than with a positive winning post of not one but two competitions!!! Fancy Me Fancy Dress made me the winner of a batman costume on Facebook for my son and then a few days later I got an email from the Colchester Zoo/Essex Baby competition to tell me that I was the winner of their family ticket to Shriek Week at Colchester Zoo. My kids were over the moon to put it mildly. We all decided to go on Halloween to the Fright Night using the tickets we had won. We had an amazing time. There was a Haunted House, Ghost Train, Magic Show and a walk through called Hillbilly Hell. We also got to see some of the animals although most were very sleepy. I highly recommend it to everybody for next year. I do advise caution to be taken though when it comes to the kids. Colchester Zoo gave every attraction a scare rating and we were told on some of the attractions it was up to the parents to decide but they didn't advise it for children under 12. Of course my ten year old daughter was adamant she wanted to go in and so was my seven year old son. I relented and surprisingly my oldest was scared to tears while my youngest was saying to the dressed up members of staff you don't scare me. Unfortunately I didn't get too many pictures as it was dark and very foggy but heres a few of the kids dressed up ready for all the fun. I would like to say a massive thank you to fancy me fancy dress, Essex baby, and Colchester Zoo we had an amazing night and your staff looked amazing and played their parts brilliantly. Well done! |
